Incorporates painting in reverse, carving into the wet paint and plexiglas as well as oil ink drawing and resinous pools to form an abstracted idea of seaweed and undercurrents. Most of the drawing in this series leans heavily on the carved lines that cut through enamel paints. This is a departure from my years of ink drawings. Resin bubbles creat some clear areas in the soft frosted surface on the front of the artworks.
About In The Weeds
This was a very successful series started in 2015 that lends itself beautifully to really large installations. I created a huge 5 panel installation that spanned 15 feet wrapping around a corner of of a room.
